Example-Content Review Game

Content Review Game

Sometimes getting students to want to review content (and enjoy the process) can be a real challenge. This game is called "Name that Phrase," which helps students review content in a fun way. The instructor writes key concepts/words on index cards. You can also include the meaning of the concept/word on the card below the word, just in case, a student might not know the information, which further reinforces the content. I recommend making at least a set of 15 cards with the information. Each team will need to have an identical set of 15 cards. Each team places all their cards in a bag/box/container. One person randomly selects a card and must describe what's on the card without using any words on the card. Once the team members correctly guess the concept/word, the next person takes a turn and selects a card until all the cards have been pulled.
